At AV Cardiology, we pride ourselves on employing the latest innovations in cardiac care while emphasizing prevention and education. Your doctor will conduct an extensive review of your health during your initial visit.

During that time, you are welcome to ask any further questions you may have about our office, our policies, and our procedures. Our friendly staff would be happy to help.

New Patient Policies

We would appreciate all new patients to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your appointment time for your initial visit. Additionally, please bring all medications you are currently taking with you at the time of your visit.

Testing Results and Prescriptions

Your lab and test results will be reviewed with your doctor at the time of your next visit. If you have concerns about your lab or test results, please don't hesitate to contact our office.

If it is safe for you to receive a refill without having a checkup, we will be happy to authorize your pharmacy to refill your prescription. If there are concerns, your doctor may ask that you come in for a visit before additional refills are approved.

We ask that you phone your pharmacy and ask them to fax us the prescription you need to be refilled. Your doctor will be contacted, and the prescription will be faxed back to your pharmacy.

Do not wait until you are out of medication. Please allow up to three days for processing. Your physician may be out of the office, in surgery, or out-of-town and this may delay your refill.

Appointment Cancellation Policy

All appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to make the scheduled time. As a courtesy, our staff will contact you 1 - 2 days prior to the appointment in order to confirm.

Please be sure to call during normal business hours to cancel your appointment, and that you speak directly with a staff member. Please do not leave a message with our after-hours exchange service.

In cases where appointments are not canceled with proper notification, there will be a $50 cancellation charge. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
